Sea Explorers Dauin

Overview

Sea Explorers Dauin is a PADI 5 Star dive center operating from Pura Vida Beach & Dive Resort in Dauin, Negros Oriental, 16 kilometers south of Dumaguete City. Sea Explorers is a multi-location Philippine dive operator — the Dauin location shares the same professional standards and PADI IDC credentials as Sea Explorers branches across the Visayas.

The dive center sits directly on the beach inside the resort. Five boats ranging from a small speedboat to 24-meter outrigger bancas serve the full range of day trips and island expeditions. The center is open daily 8AM to 7PM.

Courses & Training

Sea Explorers Dauin covers the full PADI pathway from Discover Scuba through Open Water Instructor, with IDC training available. Courses are delivered in multiple languages by a rotating team of international and local instructors.

Required documents for registration: diver certificate, logbook, and medical certificate. Non-divers may also need a medical clearance from a physician.

Guided Diving & Operations

The dive center is open every day with multiple daily departures. The five-boat fleet allows simultaneous departures for different experience levels and destinations — course groups and fun divers do not share boats.

• Sites reached: Dauin house reef (directly in front of the resort), Luca Sanctuary, Mainit, and additional Dauin muck and coral sites. Day trips to Apo Island and Siquijor Island. Special afternoon dives at mandarin fish sites. Night dives available.
• Boats: 5 boats from speedboat (single tank, course dives) to 24m outrigger bancas for 14 divers (island day trips). All boats carry emergency kit, DAN oxygen, and cell phone.
• Guide ratio: Maximum 4 divers per divemaster (5 if one diver is a Divemaster or instructor). 15-liter tanks available on first-come basis.
• Payment: Cash (EUR, CHF, USD, PHP, JPY) or credit card via PayPal. Bill settled after dives.
• Accommodation: Pura Vida Beach & Dive Resort has rooms ranging from sea-view to garden options — dive and stay packages available. Book rooms separately via the resort website.
