Overview

Club Serena Resort occupies a 1.3-hectare clifftop property above coral rocks in Bas Daku, Moalboal. The design follows modern Filipino vernacular architecture across its 12 suites and villas.

The on-site dive shop, Aquaholic, serves resort guests with access to the same Moalboal dive sites — Pescador Island and the sardine run — from a quieter, more secluded base.

Accommodation & Facilities

This is one of Moalboal’s higher-end properties, with room categories designed around privacy and space rather than volume.

Daily Experience

Morning dives depart from the resort’s own shoreline. The Bas Daku location means fewer passing crowds and a quieter surface interval on the property’s grounds.

Between dives, the pool and restaurant serve as the default gathering area. Meal orders may require advance notice for preparation.

The resort is a 20-30 minute drive from Panagsama’s restaurant strip. Guests typically dine on-site or arrange transport for evening outings.

The 1.3-hectare grounds include event spaces suitable for small gatherings. Kawasan Falls is a 30-minute drive south for a non-diving day trip.

Airport transfers from Mactan-Cebu International can be arranged but carry a premium due to the three-hour drive distance.

The house reef is accessible for snorkeling directly from the resort’s waterfront. Badian town and Kawasan Falls sit in the neighboring municipality, making them easy rest-day additions.

Best For

Couples and families who want a higher-end Moalboal stay with dive access but without the backpacker-strip atmosphere. Works well for non-diving partners who value pool, private beach, and resort-level dining.

Most appreciated by guests who prioritize room quality, modern Filipino design, and seclusion over proximity to Panagsama nightlife and backpacker bars.
