Overview

Capt’n Gregg’s opened in 1983 as the first dive shop on Sabang Beach in Puerto Galera. Australian-managed, the operation holds a 100% safety record and runs both SDI/TDI and recreational dive programs.

The dive shop sits directly on the Sabang beachfront, 120 meters from the ferry terminal. Rooms sit above and behind the dive center — the commute from bed to boat is measured in steps.

Capt’n Gregg’s also leads Puerto Galera’s mooring buoy program and has organized the sinking of wreck dive sites in the area.

Accommodation & Facilities

Rooms range from fan-cooled budget units to superior deluxe with sea views. The setup is compact and functional — built for divers who spend the day in the water.

Daily Experience

Dive briefing and gearing up happen at the beachfront shop. Speedboats launch from the sand — no transfer needed. Three dives per day is the standard rhythm, with night dives adding a fourth option.

Between dives, the restaurant handles food and drinks with direct ocean views. The kitchen opens early for pre-dive breakfast. Lunch runs between the second and third dives.

Evenings center on the restaurant’s BBQ and bar scene. Sabang’s nightlife starts at the doorstep — the resort sits in the middle of the beachfront strip. Double-glazed windows in the rooms manage the sound.
