Overview

Atmosphere Resorts & Spa operates as a PADI 5-Star Career Development Center with 36 rooms set within a seven-acre former coconut plantation in Dauin, Negros Oriental. The resort runs its own dive center with resident Course Directors and a Marine Biologist on staff.

With three pools, a full-service spa, yoga pavilion, and multiple dining venues, Atmosphere caters to mixed groups where diving is central but not the only activity. The property sits beachfront on the Dauin coastline.

Accommodation & Facilities

Rooms range from suites to penthouses with kitchens. All include California king beds with Egyptian cotton linens, solar-heated water, flat-screen TV, minibar, WiFi, and rain showers.

  • Rooms: 36 total — suites, premium suites, pool suites with private dipping pools, family duplexes, studios, and penthouses. All with AC, eco-friendly toiletries, and balcony or veranda.
  • Facilities: Three pools including infinity pool, Sanctuary Spa (Swedish, shiatsu, aromatherapy), yoga pavilion, fitness center, kids’ club, and beachfront access.
  • Dining: Multiple venues — beachfront restaurant (Filipino and international), wood-fired pizza oven, open kitchen, in-house bakery with fresh bread daily. Vegetarian and vegan menu options.

Non-diving partners have the spa, pools, yoga sessions, and kayaks between dives.

Dive Center & Operations

Atmosphere runs two to three boat trips daily with a maximum of four divers per guide. The dive center supports recreational through technical and professional-level training, with courses delivered in eight languages.

  • Training: PADI 5-Star CDC. Full range from Discover Scuba to Instructor Development Courses. TecRec programs available. Two resident Platinum/Silver PADI Course Directors run IDCs on-site.
  • Equipment: Full rental fleet. Complimentary Nitrox (EAN32). Trimix and mixed gas available. Camera/video room with private workstations, individual rinse tanks, and charging points. Retail boutique on-site.
  • Boats: 84-foot purpose-built banca plus two speedboats. Camera tables and shade on all vessels.
  • Guides: 1:4 ratio standard. English, Dutch, German, French, Spanish, Swedish, Filipino, and more.

DAN oxygen kits on boats. Atmosphere also runs the Soup Kitchen community outreach program feeding 80 local children daily.

Daily Experience

Dive briefings run in the morning. Gear is stored in private dive equipment spaces. Boats depart from the beachfront.

Surface intervals happen at the pool, camera room, or spa. The in-house bakery produces fresh bread for every meal. Lunch and dinner rotate through Filipino, international, and fine dining menus across multiple venues.

Afternoons are open for house reef dives, spa treatments, or yoga sessions. Evenings center on the beachfront bar — daily happy hour draws divers and non-divers to compare sightings over cocktails.
