Overview

Aquamundo Sports is the first Filipino-owned scuba diving equipment brand, established in 2002 by Ralph and Adie Espino. The head office and flagship store is located at the Robelle Hotel on JP Rizal Street in Poblacion, Makati, and serves as the brand’s main retail and distribution hub for Metro Manila.

Unlike most Philippine dive shops that distribute international brands, Aquamundo designs and manufactures its own product line — sourcing from partner OEMs in the US, China, Taiwan, Italy, and France — and exports to markets in Japan, Hong Kong, South Korea, Australia, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Singapore.

Products & Brands

Aquamundo stocks its own branded range across all major equipment categories, produced to international standards.

  • Scuba gear: BCDs, regulators, masks, fins, snorkels, wetsuits, booties, gauges, and tanks
  • Freediving: Lalum long-blade freediving fins (signature product), freediving wetsuits, weight belts
  • Accessories: Dive bags, dry bags, SMBs, dive knives, rashguards, neoprene accessories
  • Swim & surf: Competition goggles, training fins, swimsuits, surfboards and leashes
  • Compressors: Q Air Compressor line for high-pressure breathable air production

The Lalum freediving fin line is the brand’s highest-profile product, offered in Flex200, Flexible, and Medium Rigidity configurations. All Aquamundo gear comes with manufacturer’s warranty and after-sales service.

Services

Aquamundo’s commitment to after-sales service is a core part of the brand’s identity — gear issues are addressed directly rather than passed to third-party technicians.

  • Equipment servicing: In-house repair and maintenance for Aquamundo-branded gear
  • Compressor service: Q Air Compressor maintenance and support
  • Gear consultation: Owner-operated store with staff who are active divers and water sports participants

Best For

Divers and freedivers looking for Philippine-made equipment at fair local prices, with reliable after-sales support. Works well for divers who want to support a homegrown brand, and for those building out freediving gear — particularly the Lalum fin line — without importing from abroad.
