Overview

200bar Diveshop Anilao is a small owner-operated dive resort and bed & breakfast run by Eric and Grace Yee in Anilao, Batangas. The Yees handle instruction, guiding, and hosting personally — guests report the same faces at breakfast as on the dive boat.

The setup suits divers who want structured training or guided fun dives without the overhead of a large resort. 200bar is affiliated with PADI, GUE, TDI, and SDI, making it one of the few shops in Anilao covering technical certification alongside recreational courses.

Accommodation & Facilities

Rooms are simple, clean, and air-conditioned with private bathrooms and hot/cold water. Breakfast is included and served in a home-style setting — Grace cooks, Eric briefs. Gear storage and drying space are available at the dive shop level.

  • Rooms: Small number of air-conditioned rooms with private bathrooms; hot/cold shower. Breakfast included.
  • Facilities: Dive shop on-site, gear staging area, parking available.

Dive Center & Operations

Eric Yee leads instruction and guiding. Course groups are kept small and dive boats operate separately from fun dive groups when scheduling allows. The shop offers tank rental and fills as well as photo/video sales and service on-site.

Daily Experience

Boat is prepped and gear staged by 7AM. Morning dives depart 7:30AM. Surface intervals are relaxed — breakfast or coffee at the B&B between dives. Grace provides water and snacks on board.

Evenings are low-key. Guests share the small common area and meals. The resort suits divers focused on the water rather than after-dive nightlife.

Practical Information

The Yees accept individual and small group bookings through their Facebook page. Advance booking of 48–72 hours is recommended for weekends; the B&B fills quickly from November through May. Batangas Port transfers can be arranged for guests arriving by ferry from Puerto Galera.

The dive shop is the primary contact point for all services — courses, fun dives, and equipment rental are all coordinated through Eric directly rather than through a front desk. Communication is prompt via Facebook Messenger.

Best For

Manila-based divers who want a no-frills, instructor-led Anilao weekend with a family feel and competitive package pricing. Solo divers are explicitly welcomed into group weekend trips — making this a practical option for divers without a regular buddy. Technical divers seeking GUE or TDI certification in Anilao will find it one of the few shops offering those pathways.
